About the store
I have been a middle school math teacher for over 15 years. I have always doodled on the side and now plan to share those with teachers to create wonderful things. I love creating things to get my students excited and to make your job as a teacher easier. Google docs are definitely one of my jams. This is a project that I have used several times with my students, both as a 6th grade class and as 7th grade. Fantastic project for students to show their knowledge of scale and ratio, area, and budgeting. This project is designed with the end product using a poster for display. I used this and it took us 2 weeks to complete. You might need more or less time depending on your class and schedule. This is a ready to use project. All you need to provide is the poster. This purchase includes slides

I use this in connection with Design Your Own Zoo project. I created this to use on our visit to the zoo. It helps students think about the project details. The main focus is on zoo overall design, animal spaces, designing their own, and reflection. Students are then asked to use our research from this visit to complete their project. This workbook helps students to focus on details and document them for future use. I like that it gives lots of space for students to write or sketch. The bo

This is a worksheet that I created because my students struggle with word problems. I couldn't find ones that worked with the topic so I created it. This is specifically for fractions, percentages, and decimals. It includes a key for easy grading. I found this helpful to help students learn how to solve word problems and pull out important information.

Great review for solving interest and percent word problems. This includes key for easy grading. Students are challenged with using information to solve problems. Students can work alone or put them in pairs for a rotating review day. There is included a work shown handout if you are doing it in groups. I found it helped identify where students were struggling so we would address mistakes before the assessment.

8th grade math, Cut and Paste Scientific Notation worksheet with Key

This is a worksheet for practicing scientific notation. It includes a total of 2 pages. The worksheet and the key. This is ready to print and use. All you need is scissors and glue sticks. If you preferred, you could make it into a rotating task where the students lay the answers on the laminated card so they can pass off. I love having my students show their work, so there is extra space for them to write. I normally use it for 8th grade, but it is a great review for any math class. Also, gr

Teaching style

I love teaching math and the lightbulb moment that my students get. I do prefer to have an active engaged classroom. I do lots of discussion and group work for assignments. We use a digital platform, but I love some of the hands on back to the basics. Sometimes our students need a change from the norm and less screen time.
