About the store
Dance has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. It's a big part of my identity and has shaped me into the teacher I am today. After a professional dance career in New York City, I went back to school to pursue my Masters in Dance Education at NYU. My teaching career developed out of my passion for the art form and the need to share that joy with young people. Needless to say, I began teaching dance for the Los Angeles Unified School District and that was 10 years ago!

STUDENT RUBRIC
This is a simple rubric with a 4, 3, 2, 1 rating scale for elementary students. This can be used in ANY subject. I use it to write down the names of my students who are falling into each category at the end of the lesson. (summative assessment )

DISTANCE LEARNING: DIY TAP SHOES
Just the other day my students asked if we could learn about tap dancing. But I can't afford to by them all tap shoes. So I thought...what if we made our own? A DIY project for our class. This also can connect easily to ELA sequencing and how to projects. WARNING: This project contains hot glue so it must be done by parents or adult volunteers.
