Jack-o-Lanterns are a universal symbol of Halloween, but carving pumpkins into Jack-o-Lanterns can also be a huge mess! Here’s a way to create bright colorful Halloween artwork with little or no mess. Carve black construction paper instead of pumpkins and replace candles with cellophane. These beautiful windows will add an eerie effect to your classroom and create an spooky atmosphere for your school Halloween parade.

Teaching style
Learning should be fun and stimulating for both students and their teacher. The more I explore and create, the more excited I am to share that information with my class. I prefer visually stimulating, interactive instruction which allows the most opportunity for individual student response. My lessons are closely aligned to the current standards and/or the common core. I find power point presentations to be the most current and promising format for use in my classroom. My lessons include a variety of extensions i.e. songs, games, activities, opportunities for independent practice, poetry, student worksheets, art projects, physical activities, etc. These extensions can be used as needed or to create more variety while teaching. I hope my work inspires and promotes in you, a love of teaching AND learning.
