Experience

Hi, I’m Ms. L. Welcome to Dani Lu Learning! As an educator with a passion for helping students grow, I create engaging and playful resources for learners of all ages. My focus is on making learning fun while supporting students' social and emotional development, so every child can feel confident and cared for. Whether you’re looking for creative activities, social stories to help with big feelings, or easy-to-use classroom tools, I’m here to help make learning a joyful experience. Let’s inspire little learners to do great things together!

Teaching style

I believe the best learning happens when students feel safe, seen, and excited to participate. My teaching style is playful, structured, and student-centered — with clear routines, positive support, and lots of hands-on practice. I love using simple visuals, engaging activities, and real-life examples to help learners build confidence. I also focus on social-emotional skills like self-regulation, friendship, problem-solving, and growth mindset, so students can thrive both academically and emotionally.

Awards & shining teacher moments

Some of my favorite “teacher wins” are the everyday moments that matter most — a student who finally believes in themselves, a class that learns how to solve conflicts respectfully, or a child using a calming strategy independently for the first time. I’m proud of the supportive classroom community I build and the way my students grow in confidence, communication, and kindness. Creating resources that teachers can use right away (and that kids actually enjoy!) has become one of my biggest shining moments — especially when educators share that a tool helped their learners feel successful.

My own education history

I hold a Master’s in School Counseling and am licensed in my state. My training and continued learning focus on supporting the whole student — academics, behavior, and mental wellness — with practical, classroom-friendly strategies. I also have specialized experience in dyslexia intervention and additional certifications in career coaching, which helps me create resources that support students’ goals, confidence, and future planning.

Additional biographical information

I’ve worked with students K–12 in both private and alternative education settings, and I’m especially passionate about supporting neurodivergent learners — because I’m neurodivergent too. I design resources that are clear, encouraging, and easy to use for students who benefit from structure, visuals, and step-by-step support. I’m also a Peer Support Specialist, with experience supporting students and families around mental health and substance use topics in a compassionate, stigma-free way. Outside of school counseling, I tutor nearly every day and help students prepare for big tests like the ACT and ACCUPLACER, so I’m always thinking about what works in real life (and what actually keeps kids engaged!). And fun fact: I’m a huge animal lover with lots of hands-on experience — I truly believe animals teach patience, empathy, and calm, and that mindset shows up in my work with students, too.
