This is a graphic organizer I used to teach "5 Finger Retell" from The Next Step Forward in Guided Reading by Jan Richardson.

This graphic organizer has been SO helpful in teaching my kids to find key words independently. We make a large version of this on chart paper together the first so they can refer back to it when they are working independently!

I use this to introduce all types of paragraph writing in second grade. We use this same template for opinion writing, narratives, and informational writing, so there are different prompts in each section of the graphic organizer to use with each of these 3 types of writing! This is a recording sheet I use to hold my students accountable during math centers! 3 Heads is a really engaging and very easy to learn addition fluency game! Basic directions are included on the recording sheet for students who need lots of reminders (: The only materials students will need to play other than this recording sheet are pencils and a set of playing cards or 1-10 number cards!

Students color in each level as their reading stamina increases. Great for self reflection!

This is a resource I created to use with my 2nd grade students to help hold them accountable and to keep our classroom organized! I print the job description cards off at the beginning of the year and laminate them before I give them to students to keep in their desks.
