Activity to help students understand the concept of using scales when inputting data on graphs. Students will interpret data from a bar graph and a pictograph and will also be able to take data from tally and frequency charts to create their own bar and pictographs using a scale. Good for assessment at the end of a lesson.

Activity to help students organize information in different ways. Students will create a picture cutting and pasting shapes included in the package or using pattern blocks. They will then use their picture to fill out a tally chart and make a graph to show how many of each shape they have used in their picture. Great for observational assessment or as an alternative to the traditional test or quiz format.
