Teaching style

My teaching style is firm but fun, built on the belief that students thrive when expectations are clear and the environment feels safe, engaging, and purposeful. I believe there is a time for play and a time for practice, and both are essential parts of meaningful learning. In my classroom, students know that structure and consistency matter. Clear routines, high expectations, and accountability help create a space where everyone can succeed. At the same time, learning should feel alive. Humor, movement, collaboration, and creativity are woven into lessons so that students stay curious and motivated. I strive to balance joy with responsibility. Play is used intentionally to build relationships, develop skills, and encourage risk-taking, while practice is where students refine techniques, build resilience, and take ownership of their growth. Students are encouraged to challenge themselves, support one another, and reflect on both their successes and mistakes. Ultimately, my goal is to help students grow not only in skill and knowledge, but also in confidence, character, and a lifelong love of learning.
