This worksheet is more than just drill and kill with order of operations. It requires student to articulate answers using words, to investigate claims as whether they are true or false and explain how they know they are correct, and to analyze if steps made are correct. This worksheet could be given after the students have been introduced to the idea of order of operations. It could also be given as a quiz.

This worksheet exposes students to inequalities through math and words. Requiring students to use words in conjunction with math in trying to understand inequalities great speeds up the learning process. Please note that students should be required to write sentences for every answer so that they can check their math with their words to make sure they match. The first 4 boxes can be done as a class and then the rest of the worksheet can be done in groups, pairs, or independently.
