This is a cumulative overview that covers rising issues preluding the Civil War. It will cover social, economic and political changes. The main issue covered is slavery and how expansion on the U.S. affected what states were free or slave.
Students will first read through a synopsis of the court case of Brown vs. Board. Then they will use this sheet to give their opinion on the court case and its outcome. This is prompting students to understand and value their personal education.
The following is a guide for students to learn how to write a Current Event for a history, civics or politics class. Students will make connections from a viable news source and compare it to a historical or political event learned in the classroom.
This is a guideline for a group project on Roman Society. Students will access a website for background information and use the guide sheet to make their group video.
