This document includes an anchor handout the lists the different types of context clues. In addition, a graphic organizer is provided which students can use when reading texts in order to stop and analyze the context clues in order to determine unknown word meanings. In this document there is also practice sheets for determining the context clue types, practice sheets for creating individualized, personal sentences using the particular clues, and "share out" handouts.

This document includes graphic organizers to prompt the analysis for various standards, including imagery (6RL4/6L5), theme (6RL2), tone (6RL4), character change (6RL3), and setting (6RL5). In addition, each graphic organizer closes with a HOT Question regarding 6RL9. This resource can be used as a "Jigsaw" or as a Stations Task.
