About the store
My first year of teaching was at a day-partial/residential hospitalization program for severely emotionally disturbed students. I taught kindergarten and a 1-2 split. I then was hired by the Philadelphia School District as a first grade teacher. I moved into the upper grades having taught both 4th and 5th grade. Most of my experience is in 4th grade and I'm moving into my 9th year with the school district.

Multiplication and Division Word Problems Lesson Plans and materials

The lesson plans are a week long plan to teach finding key words in multiplication and division word problems. The focus is determining which words are in the problem that indicate which operation to use and practice multiplying and dividing. There are guided practice word problems for the entire week along with worksheets to be used for independent practice. There's also a cut and paste operations match in which students match the operation with the word problem.

Function Tables and Patterns lesson plans and materials

I attached basic lesson plans that match with the materials for teaching function tables and patterns. I use the following rule while teaching: Using a function table, find the differences between the in and out numbers. If they are the same, it’s an addition or subtraction rule. If they differences are different, it’s a multiplication or division rule.
