Practice expressing decimals in different forms- both in written word form and standard form. This simple practice/reinforcement could be used as a classwork assignment, homework assignment, formative assessment or even a small and quick assessment. Students could work in pairs or individuals. Students could even generate questions involving the values such as find the sum of the values in questions one and five.
This activity could be used as a small group or individual warm-up or application activity identifying, comparing and recognizing relationships between decimal values. You can make enough copies of the number cards for pairs of students, small group or even a whole class. I have made one copy of the cards and posted them on my board for all to see or have created decks of cards for individuals or small groups.
