DARE2LEARN

I have been teaching for 5 years, with experience in grades 6, 7, 8 and special education. I have taught all subject for these grades, excluding instrumental music. I also have my TESL degree and have taught adult ESL prior to becoming an elementary teacher.

My teaching style is always adapting and changing. "If you dare to teach, you must dare to learn." Every year I try something new or adapt what I am doing to the classroom or students that I teach that year. I like to incorporate a lot of inquiry based learning. As well as use technology whenever possible. I try and use a lot of current and relatable resources with the students. With grades 6-8, if you do not incorporate something that is of interest or relevance to them, I find they will not be fully engaged in the learning.
