About the store
I've spent a great deal of time creating materials to use in my classroom. My background is unique as a former general education classroom teacher, a special education resource teacher, and currently a self-contained teacher focusing on supporting Kindergarten aged students. Over the years, I just wasn't satisfied with what could be found in our curriculum books or produced by publishers. I've also found that certain skills in the special education setting benefit from a a variety of practice options that allow students to continue to develop independence with skills. I'm hoping to share my classroom tested materials (both in my room, and in other classrooms in my building) with classrooms across the country!

Teaching style

My background in special education leads me to focus a lot on function when I design items for the classroom. I pay close attention to format, wording, and quantity of items when making materials. My goal is to make activities that are easy for students to understand; while at the same time proving mastery of a standard.

The name of my store comes partially from one of my favorite quotes, by Teddy Roosevelt. " It is not the critic who counts; not the man who points out how the strong man stumbles, or where the doer of deeds could have done them better. The credit belongs to the man who is actually in the arena, whose face is marred by dust and sweat and blood; who strives valiantly; who errs, who comes short again and again, because there is no effort without error and shortcoming; but who does actually strive to do the deeds; who knows great enthusiasms, the great devotions; who spends himself in a worthy cause; who at the best knows in the end the triumph of high achievement, and who at the worst, if he fails, at least fails while daring greatly, so that his place shall never be with those cold and timid souls who neither know victory nor defeat."
