About the store
-Current Role: school-based BCBA at a public separate school for students with special needs -Started out going to school for marine biology which did NOT work out! -Fell in love with special education and psychology -Teaching Assistant from 2005 to 2007 during grad school -Special education teaching license in 2007 -BCBA (Board Certified Behavior Analyst) in 2009 -Parent in 2013 (and again in 2017) and ate a LOT of humble pie about what I thought I knew! I have worked in self-contained classrooms, resource classrooms, public schools, and charter schools. I have also worked with clients at home, in clinics, in group homes, and at day programs. I have supported students, clients, and their families between the ages of 3 and 50, and I still have so much more to learn!

I enjoy running, drinking tea, planning, drinking more tea, and am always seeking magic. My family loves Harry Potter (my husband and I named one of our kids after a Harry Potter character!) and we are always planning (or daydreaming about) our next visit to Universal Studios Florida. I am waiting for an owl to swing by with a letter inviting me to teach Muggle Studies at Hogwarts!
