I've been teaching for 25 years and can't imagine doing anything else. I've taught 2nd grade, 3rd grade, 4th grade, and Elementary PE. I absolutely LOVE what I do!!!
Teaching style
I truly strive to create a fun-filled, hands-on teaching style where students are given opportunities to reach beyond what they currently know and make connections to what is being taught. It is my mission as a teacher to develop students who are problem solvers, who may not always know all the answers but are confident in their abilities to find them. :)
Awards & shining teacher moments
I've been honored by being selected as teacher of the year (for my school) twice, and given the fabulous teachers I've taught with, I was beyond humbled by the experience.
My own education history
I received my bachelor's in Psychology and master's in Human Relations. I also completed teacher certification in elementary education and PE certification for grades k-12.
Additional biographical information
I love to read, create, shop, and travel. My hobbies include tennis, pickleball, 1/2 marathons, and yoga. I'm also a huge OU football fan!
