Wow!!! It’s gone by fast. Graduation in 1974 with a BSE in Special Education and Elementary Education seems like yesterday. The wrinkles on my face say differently. I have been teaching special education 40 years. Where did the time go? Most of my teaching career has been spent in a resource setting, Kindergarten all the way through 12th grade. Although I strayed a bit, I never left special education. I did teach in an elementary classroom of mixed grade level a couple of years. That was fun. Somehow, I also managed to serve as an administrator of a preschool program. Though gig! My time has been divided. I spent about half my teaching career in my home state of Arkansas and the other half in rural Alaska. Oh the stories I could tell about those wonderful years teaching and raising my family in a village in Alaska. Maybe another day.

They cut out 16 sentences and glue each sentence to the correct season sheet. Next they use a marker, crayons, foam leaves, sequins, or whatever you have, to correctly decorate the trees. Wow!!! It’s gone by fast. Graduation in 1974 with a BSE in Special Education and Elementary Education seems like yesterday. The wrinkles on my face say differently. Teaching style

My products are plain and simple. You will not see my downloads covered in popular chevron patterns or wild designs. With 40 years of successful special education experience, it became obvious that materials needed to focus on the concept, rather than page decorations that were very distractible to children. My pages are simple, with basic fonts and well organized. They were designed for special needs children, but work with all children. That being said, I think it is very important to use pictures to teach with. I believe in using every sense possible, every teaching style, every teaching format possible.
