About the store

Experience

After 9 years in 1st grade, I am currently teaching 4th. I LOVE my job! The planning, prep, and delivery are exciting opportunities to inspire children. My focus is ELA and SS content. I have also previously taught Pre-K and Kindergarten.

Teaching style

I use a variety of resources to integrate content areas and supplement system purchased curriculum. I encourage thinking and problem solving in my classroom and LOVE to see my students' growth.

My own education history

Bachelors and Masters degrees from The University of Tennessee, Knoxville in Elementary Education EdS. from Lincoln Memorial University in Curriculum and Instruction

Additional biographical information

I married my husband 22 years ago in Jamaica. We have had several adventures together over the years; including pregnancies, traveling, moving, and my additional schooling. I am blessed by his endless support and encouragement. I enjoyed being a stay-at-home mom of two boys for 10 years before returning to the classroom. We now have 2 teenagers that keep us busy with soccer, school, and fun activities!
