I graduated in 2005 with A BSc in Human Biology, and a year later gained a PGCE in Science. I've taught across grammar and boarding schools in the West Midlands UK, before moving to Dubai in 2015. Whilst living in the UAE I gained a Masters in Education and completed a NPQ Leading Teaching Development (2023). I have experience in IB; MYP and DP and the UK National Curriculum; GCSE and A Level.

Teaching style
I believe in empowering students to become independent learners and critical thinkers. In my classroom, I utilise evidence-based research to design engaging experiences that foster skill development and promote a deep understanding of scientific principles. Through authentic assessments and hands-on activities, my students learn to apply their knowledge to real-world situations and develop the confidence to tackle complex challenges.
Additional biographical information
Beyond the classroom, I'm deeply committed to professional growth and supporting fellow educators. I run DEEP Professional, sharing my insights at conferences and webinars on topics such as PD and AI in education, and I host The International Classroom Podcast, where I explore teaching strategies and global perspectives. I believe in the power of collaboration and knowledge sharing to elevate our profession and, ultimately, enrich our students' learning experiences.
