Get to know your kids with this engaging ABC activity. Students will do a quick brainstorm of words that describe them. Use on its own as a morning work or early finisher activity or as a whole class activity. You can extend this by having the students select from several different products to display their ABC list. What a great way to get to know your kids and for them to get to know each other.

Experience

Teaching style
Facilitator! I really want to teach my kids the skills they need to find out the answers to their questions. I listen to my kids and develop projects and activities around their interests. I like to work with teachers to help plan activities that help students take ownership of their learning.
My own education history
I earned my B.S. degree in Psychology from Virginia Tech (Go Hokies!) and worked as a recruiter for a short time before returning to school at the University of Richmond to obtain my teaching credentials. I later added on my Gifted Endorsement from UVA. I am a life long learner and will definitely return to school in the future.
Additional biographical information
I am so lucky to be the mama to three fantastic kids. They keep me very busy and are my greatest joy.
