A set of the high-frequency words flash cards for the review unit for Reading Street 2013 Edition for 1st Grade. This is a quick way to let your students practice their words at home, in centers, groups, etc.

This is a 8 page notebook that you can print out and do with your class when talking about the different animal categories/groups. It contains a cover page, 6 different pages for each animal group and a last page for their favorite animal group. Students can write fun facts about each animal group that and draw a picture of their favorite animal from each group. I have done this with my 1st grade class for the last 3 years and they love doing it!! Hope your class enjoys it too!!

A couple of quick word sorts to review nouns, verbs and adjectives with your students.

This is a quick game you can play with the kids. Give each kid a set of 10 cubes. They can put the cubes on any number and can place more than one cube per number as long as they have all their cubes on a number(s). Teacher rolls 2 dice and students have to add them together. If they have a cube on that circle, they can remove their cube. Then teacher rolls dice again and so on until someone clears their board of all their cubes.
