About the store
I am honored to say that I got my start in 1994 teaching in a non-graded, multi-age middle school with those who taught me. I was able to get my start teaching along side the same teachers who were driven to see me succeed as a student. They were just as determined to see me succeed as a new teacher. I am forever thankful to them. Since moving on from middle school, I have taught 3rd, 4th, and 5th grades. I love the age and the curriculum in these crucial years.

Experience

I am honored to say that I got my start in 1994 teaching in a non-graded, multi-age middle school with those who taught me. I was able to get my start teaching along side the same teachers who were driven to see me succeed as a student. They were just as determined to see me succeed as a new teacher. I am forever thankful to them. Since moving on from middle school, I have taught 3rd, 4th, and 5th grades. I love the age and the curriculum in these crucial years.

My own education history

I earned my B.S. and M.Ed. in Middle Grades Education from Georgia College and State University. I am also certified in Early Childhood Education as well as endorsed in Gifted Education and Teacher Support Specialist.

Additional biographical information

I grew up in VERY rural Georgia and had the luxury of going to one of the smallest K-12 public schools in the state. I wish every child could have the educational experience I did, so I work hard to ensure that every child in my classroom knows they are "mine" for the school year - just the way I knew I "belonged" to the wonderful teachers who molded me into who I am today.
