About the store
Hello! We are two retired (early) teachers with over 40 years experience teaching everything from K - through to High School. One of us is more primary/special ed orientated and the other more grades 4-7/special ed with a sprinkle of high school Leadership, Life Skills, and English. One of us has a lot of experience working with special needs students, particularily autistic students, inside and outside the classroom, and the other worked in Special Ed early in their career and has been a strong advocate for special needs students in her classroom. We work together to create materials that focus on being easy to use, thorough, and unique. Materials ready to print and go, or print and create. When laminated, Print and Create items are ones you can use over and over with many students.

Teaching style

Both of us created safe and caring learning environment for our students. Ones that fostered bonds between students and adults. Both created cooperative learning environments. Ones that fostered building relationships, gaining confidence, building trust, and learning from each other. Both had high standards to what we taught our students. We believed in providing students a variety of ways to learn curriculum. We created, and still do, materials that could reach every student in our room in a meaningful way to them.

My own education history

Both of us have teaching degrees from a Canadian university plus a 2 year diploma program from Simon Fraser University. One in Special Ed and one focused on Early Learning. Combined we have 13 years of university in Canada.

Additional biographical information

Neither of us were born in this country, both of us have Scotish heritage. Both of us have children, 1 with 1 boy and the other has a son and 2 daughters. All of our children are adults. One even has a grandchild! Both of us are very close with our families and enjoy travelling (we hope to do a lot more!).
