I use this organizer each week for students to analyze a poem. (I use it as morning work) Each day students read the poem with a different task in mind. Day 1: Read and visualize and discuss initial understanding Day 2: Read and evaluate vocabulary (Page 2) Day 3: Read and analyze author techniques Day 4: Read and act out with a group (Reader's Theater style) Day 5: Final words for the poem
