My goal is to help students enjoy history as much as I do. To teach them that the history of their families and ancestors are an important thread of the American history fabric. I seek to engage my students in history/social science, to help them see its connections to their own lives, and to develop and strengthen vital academic skills (such as reading, writing, discourse, creativity, and more).
Thus, the goal of my resources are to:
• present students with a variety of perspectives and have them draw their own
conclusions
• teach the “untold” stories of history
• develop vital academic and life skills, and
• help students develop a love and appreciation for history, so that they leave our classrooms wanting to study history even more!
