Math Whodunnit (Escape Room): The Haunted Ticket Records | Halloween | Gr 6-8 |

The Halloween festival ticket revenue report has been altered. Ticket sales were calculated using ratio and proportion methods — and whoever changed the figures understood those methods well enough to make every alteration look internally consistent. Unit rates are wrong. Proportional graphs have been shifted to hide the missing money. Percent calculations no longer match the raw data. Five suspects had after-hours building access. Detective Chen is out of leads. Your Grade 6-8 students are next

Math Whodunnit (Escape Room): The Tampered Totals | Winter | Gr 6-8 | Equations

The winter fundraiser spreadsheet has been altered — and the alterations are almost invisible. The expressions used to calculate donation totals have been modified with precision: brackets added or removed to change the order of operations, variable values shifted to produce different outputs, inequalities flipped to prevent automated alerts from triggering. Every single change is internally consistent and would pass a surface-level audit. Whoever did this does not just understand expressions an

Math Whodunnit Escape Room | Grades 6–8 | The Hacked Graph | Functions

The school's data visualisation system was accessed and several graphs were replaced. The replacements pass a surface-level check — they have axes, labels, and plotted points. But the slope is wrong. The rate of change doesn't match the scenario described. Two graphs that should be linear have been switched with nonlinear ones. Someone who understands how functions behave — and how to make a wrong graph look plausible — did this deliberately. Five suspects. One access log. One investigation. The

The grade records were changed — but not through the gradebook system. Someone altered the underlying expressions and equations used in the school's automated assessment tool. Every changed value still satisfies the original equation. Every modified expression evaluates to the same result when simplified. The forgery is invisible unless you know how to work backwards from a simplified expression to its original form. Whoever did this understands expressions and equations at a level that goes wel

Math Whodunnit Escape Room | Grades 6–8 | The Tampered Timetable | Ratios

DESCRIPTIONThe school timetable was modified overnight — but not randomly. The ratio of maths periods to every other subject was systematically reduced by exactly 40% across all grade levels. Every proportional relationship was recalculated to keep the schedule looking balanced. Every percent was adjusted to hide the cut. Whoever did this understood ratios well enough to weaponise them. Five suspects had after-hours building access. Detective Chen is out of leads. Your students are next. The Mat

Math Whodunnit Escape Room | Grades 6–8 | The Missing Inventory | Number System

The school supply inventory has vanished — but the discrepancy trail is still visible in the data. The supply room fractions have been recalculated in a way that only makes sense if you understand division of fractions. The science lab integer records show deliberate sign errors that cancel each other out. The computer lab contains numbers described as rational but which cannot be expressed as simple fractions. Whoever removed the inventory knew exactly which numbers to manipulate and which to l

The school timetable was altered overnight — and the evidence trail starts here. Three investigation stations are open. The ratio calculations on the scheduling office whiteboard do not add up correctly. The gym office unit rate data has been selectively stripped. The data room proportional charts have been rearranged. Detective Chen needs a student who understands ratios, unit rates, and proportional relationships. That student is your class. This free sampler is the introduction to the DeskMad

About the store

Experience

International school teacher with 15+ years across Australia, South Korea, China, and Thailand — currently based in Bangkok. DeskMade started simply: colleagues at tier 1 schools kept asking for resources that didn't exist, so I made them. What started as building for myself and the teachers around me became this store. Every resource here was made with a real classroom in mind, by someone who's actually taught in one.

Teaching style

Inquiry-based and student-centered. I design learning that gets kids thinking, not just following steps. I'm big on making resources that are practical, easy to use, and actually save you time — which is exactly why I started DeskMade.

Additional biographical information

I'm an Australian teacher based in Bangkok, building DeskMade as a resource hub made by a real classroom teacher — for real classroom teachers. Every product is something I'd actually use with my own students.
