I’ve been in education for over 12 years and have taught a variety of grade levels and subjects, with a primary focus on Career and Technical Education (CTE). My experience includes designing and delivering hands-on, real-world lessons that prepare students for life beyond the classroom. In addition to my CTE background, I’m also certified in elementary education, which allows me to support younger learners with engaging, age-appropriate resources. Teaching style
My teaching style is hands-on, engaging, and student-centered. I believe learning should be meaningful and connected to real-life experiences, especially in Career and Technical Education. I strive to create a positive, inclusive classroom environment where students feel empowered to explore, ask questions, and take ownership of their learning. Whether I’m working with high schoolers in a CTE course or younger learners in an elementary setting, I focus on blending structure with creativity to keep students motivated and involved every step of the way.

One of the highlights of my career has been being recognized as a Master Teacher in the state of Texas through the Teacher Incentive Allotment (TIA)—an honor awarded to high-performing educators who demonstrate exceptional teaching effectiveness and student growth. This recognition reflects my dedication to student success, innovative instruction, and continuous professional growth. It’s been incredibly rewarding to see the impact of my teaching both in the classroom and beyond, and I’m proud to bring that same level of excellence and commitment to the resources I create.
My own education history
I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and a Master of Arts in Advertising from The University of Texas at Austin. My path into education was shaped by a passion for communication, creativity, and real-world application—all of which influence the way I teach and create resources. I am certified in the state of Texas to teach Journalism, Family and Consumer Sciences, Technology Applications, and Core Subjects EC–6, allowing me to work with a wide range of grade levels and subject areas. This diverse background helps me bring both depth and versatility to my teaching and resource development.
Additional biographical information
Outside of the classroom, I’m a proud mom to a young daughter who constantly inspires many of the elementary resources I create. I’m also a graphic designer, which allows me to bring a creative eye to everything I design—from classroom decor to interactive activities. In my free time, I love to read, explore new recipes and restaurants, and travel with my family whenever we get the chance. These personal passions fuel my creativity and help me develop engaging, visually appealing resources that support both teachers and students.
