Students can use this template to fill in information from their year. This resource was created as an end of year activity. It requires students to reflect on the year. Introduce the book World Without Fish by Mark Kurlansky to your students in this fun and engaging activity! Students will get background knowledge by using the book to participate in this scavenger hunt.

Your students will be using their imaginations to develop a poster or digital graphic organizer to show the plot of Flush. Encourage students to take photos, be creative and have fun! (Rubric and graphic organizer included!)

Students will be reading and analyzing the poem, Nothing Gold Can Stay by Robert Frost. After analyzing the poem, they will create a presentation with a voice over to practice reading poetry with a proper tone. (Includes Rubric)

Students will make inferences about Percy Jackson from The Lightning Thief by Rick Riordan. They will be drawing a picture of Percy as he is described in the book as well as using quotes to provide indirect and direct characterization. This is a fun and creative way to make inferences about a character!

Engage your students in a fun worksheet as they pretend to be detectives! They will find the definition of words using context clues, find the connotation of words and examine fictional elements of the story Flush. This is to be used after reading chapter 13-14. There will be some deeper level thinking questions and even a short writing activity focusing on writing in different perspectives.
