Have your students learn about the Spanish speaking countries in world. Great for all levels of Spanish. Instead of a poster board, students can make a power point presentation or equivilant (prezi).

Students research the states of Mexico and create a poster. Directions are all in Spanish but can be translated to English (word document). It also has a matching quiz for the states and their capitals.

The documentary tells the life story of La Malinche. It is all in Spanish. Best suited for heritage speakers or higher level Spanish students. As students watch the documentary (can be found on Youtube, Malintzin: La historia de un enigma) they will answer questions and the last activity requires students to write a short (150 word) opinion essay. All movie guide questions and essay prompt are in Spanish. Includes answer key. The documentary is 88 minutes.

Students create and infograph with the regions of Spain. This can be done individually, partners, or small groups. The set includes the rubric, list of regions, and a matching quiz for the regions and their capitals.

Students write ads looking for friendship or love in Spanish. Communicate through letters. Its all anonymous until Valentine's Day when they find out who wrote to them and who they wrote to. It can be used with any foreign language.

Students can honor a loved one on Day of the Dead by making a poster and presenting it to the class.

Students research how Spanish speaking countries celebrate New Years using the 3 Ps (practices, products, perspectives). Students create an infograph and present to the class. You may change it to meet your needs. Spanish and English version.

Great project to do when students are learning about food. Students will be researching a national dish from one of the Spanish speaking countries and creating an infograph with the recipe. This can be done individually, partners, or small groups.

Using small groups, each group researches one of the 7 legends from Peru. They research the legend and present it to the class in comic strip format. The 7 legends are included.

Great mini project to do with your students at the beginning of the year and introduce them to the class. Can be done with any level of Spanish or any subject or any grade level. Can be modified for lower grades.
