Students undergo a "mission" to decode a secret message by solving decimal word problems on Star Wars themed task cards. Click the PREVIEW button to view sample problems.

Students practice their estimation (rounding skills) as well as addition and subtraction skills by designing a new school kitchen. They will have to stay within a budget and estimate the cost of the total kitchen. They will then calculate how much money the will have left over and determine which foods to buy for the first week of school.
