My own education history

I've been on an incredible teaching journey for the past 19 years, and every step has shaped who I am as an educator. I began as a Title I Reading Intervention teacher, supporting kindergarten and first grade students as they built their earliest literacy skills. From there, I spent several wonderful years teaching first grade, where I truly fell in love with early childhood education. Eventually, I found my way into special education (a path that has brought me so much joy) working with incredible students in grades 2 through 7. Throughout my career, I’ve continued to grow and learn. I’m trained in Orton-Gillingham, LETRS, and the Comprehensive Intervention Model, and I hold a Master’s Degree in Collaborative Teaching Practices. I’m passionate about helping all learners succeed, and I design resources that are both research-based and classroom-tested, with real students in mind.
