Anchor Chart - Area Model for 3X2 Multiplication

Created by

This "no-frills" anchor chart shows a 4 step process for setting up and completing an area model for 3X2 multiplication with whole numbers. Common Core explicitly lists this standard for 4th Grade. Ohio's Learning Standards utilizes area models in 5th grade to explore the relationship between multiplication and division. There is enough space on the left for hole punching. It uses mathematically sound math vocabulary, no gimmicks or fancy sayings.
