About the store
With a name like Kandi, I was destined to be a kinder teacher although I took an 8 year detour working in the high tech sector. After finally finding my way to what I wanted to be when I grew up, I am now in my 12th year teaching with 11 of those years being in kindergarten. It can be exhausting and frustrating but is also amazing, hilarious, heartwarming, and really the best job in the world. Every day is something new, my little people and I are always glad to see each other, and I sleep like a baby every night. Pretty sweet deal. :-)

Brown Bear Puppets - English and Spanish
This product is intended to be used in conjunction with the book Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See? by Bill Martin, jr. It includes puppets for students to create and use for retelling the story as well as a parent letter so students can practice at home too. There are 3 versions of the puppets and letters - one in English and two in Spanish. One Spanish version uses oso pardo while the other uses oso café. I hope your students enjoy retelling Brown Bear as much as mine do! Thank you

The cards can also be used to play the game POP. Students take turns drawing cards and reading the words. If they draw a high frequency word and read it correctly, they get to keep their card. If they get it wrong or don’t know it, they have to discard it. If they draw a POP card, they have to put all their cards back in the box. The player with the most cards wins

Each card includes the uppercase and lowercase letters, the ASL sign for each letter, and pictures that match the beginning sound (currently only 1 sound per letter but I plan to add the additional sounds in the future).

So who am I outside of school? I am married to my high school sweet heart. We celebrated 29 years in June and he’s still my best friend. I am stubborn. He’s patient. I rarely shut up and he’s a great listener. It works. We have 4 great kids (2 boys, 2 girls) and 2 fur babies. They are all in their 20's and finding their own paths in life. We have entered a new phase in our life with new challenges and adventures.
