About the store

Experience

I feel very blessed to have spent the last ten years teaching second graders.

Teaching style

I use a lot of technology in my classroom. I have always used interactive powerpoints but a couple of years ago I wrote a grant for a Smartboard, and now I don't know how I managed so long without it! I like my classroom to be fun and exciting for the kids and for myself and a Smartboard helps me accomplish that.

Awards & shining teacher moments

I have received over $8,000 in awards from local businesses through my grant writing. I was a presenter at a state conference honoring our school (along with other schools) for our achievement.

My own education history

B.S. in Education and M.A. in Education and leadership

Additional biographical information

I'm married and mother of 4. Teaching is not only my job, but it is my hobby as well. It occupies most of my time.
