Use this graph to introduce and practice probability. First have the students color the different sections of the spinner. Then have them predict which color the spinner is most likely to land on. Next put a paper clip in the center dot and hold it in place with a pencil. The students should spin the paper clip ten times and record what color they land on by putting a tally mark in the box. Can be used as a companion to my Probability PowerPoint.

Use this Skittles graph as a companion to my Graphing Powerpoint. Either individually or in groups, have the students open up a red bag of skittles, sort, and then graph the results. Can go over results whole group using powerpoint.

I created this reusable template in response to our district's putting restrictions on our copying. Rather than print off a separate DOL, word of the day and math jumpstart every morning, I combined them into one document. I copied them onto cardstock and then laminated them so the kids can write on them with dry erase markers and reuse everyday. Your students can practice bar graphs using this activity. Just survey classmates on their favorite sport and then fill in the graph. Remind the students to use different colors for each sport and then compare by answering questions. This is a nice companion to my Bar Graph Powerpoint.

Have your students survey their classmates on their favorite lunch entry. Then they can record the results on this Pictograph and then compare.

This is a rounding practice activity. The students simply draw an arrow from the number in the starburst to the nearest ten. This is a nice follow-up to my Rounding To the Nearest Ten Smartboard and Powerpoint presentations to check for understanding.

Your students can practice the idea that the mouth of the symbols always opens to the bigger number by writing in numbers to make a true number sentence. This is a nice companion to my Greater Than Less Than Smartboard and PowerPoint Lessons.
