This activity is a graffiti activity. It is completely student led and the teacher should facilitate as students need assistance. This can be used as a wrap up to a lesson or an activity to deepen the understanding of the line of best fit. Each group is assigned a table of ordered pairs to graph and will rotate after a predetermined time frame to add to the existing graph. This activity sheet discusses how lines are compared to each other. It also has the student self discover the rules for parallel and perpendicular lines. Great for use with graph paper or Geoboards.

Great activity for students who need higher thinking or who finish the activity early. Add on to the Line of Best Fit - Activity Sheet document. This extension activity allows students to look at how outliers effect the graphical and algebraic forms of the line of best fit. It also has the students research the "r" value for the line of best fit.

This problem can be used at the end of a class to assess what students retain and help the teacher understand what needs retaught. This will work great as a pop quiz or an exit ticket.
