Elife Finds Jesus Advent Story and Activities
As a Christian, we want to include Christ in all we do at Christmas. Elfie Finds Jesus does just this. It is a twist to an old tradition of hiding an elf. Elfie goes on an adventure back in time to see that he needs to mend his ways of trickery and deceit. I use the tradition elf and hide him with a "Bag of Secrets" to share with the students including names of God (you can switch them out and combine with other Advent books). Students will explore 3 different careers that they are interested in. It is a simple worksheet that our 5th graders used as a ROUGH DRAFT for a slide presentation. Our 5th graders presented these ideas to younger students for practice.

I have four AMAZING teen sons that enjoy learning in many different ways. Each of my own children had a unique learning style and I worked at home with them before they even reached school. As they entered upper elementary school, I had to find ways to challenge each of them "where they were at". On the side, I tutored students in upper elementary on basic skills that were necessary to be successful in school. I enjoy working with students for the "AH-HA" moment.
