I have a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics Education from the University of Montana, with a minor in Theatre. I follow Jo Boaler's philosophy of teaching mathematics and believe education should be engaging and relevant to students. I have experience inside many different types of schools, including alternative, two-room school houses, reservation and boarding schools, and classic public and private schools. My focus during college was learning to support at-risk learners, so that all can achieve at high levels.

I have a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics Education from the University of Montana, with a minor in Theatre. Teaching style

I strive for inquiry-based and experiential lessons. I believe students will succeed more when lessons are relevant, cross-curricular, and encourage deep thinking.

Additional biographical information

I primarily create unit plans and Creative Commons textbooks. After observations, summer school programs, and substituting, I've decided to make changes to our education system from outside the classroom. I've completed the Maths Education Program, but decided to graduate without continuing on to student teaching and certification.
