I've been a Biology and Anatomy teacher for 10 years, and during this time I've challenged myself to create guided notes for students that are visually creative and simple. I loved doodle notes, but originally when I did them I felt stuck taking all of my time writing in the front of class. I created doodle notes paired with Google Slides so the slides show the notes for me while I can circulate the class and support students! The slides slowly reveal the notes with immediate practice along the way so students can practice what they are learning in real time. This style allows you to assign notes for a flipped classroom, independent studies, or just have a little more freedom to deliver high quality notes while moving around in a large class setting (like I do!). Everything is hand-drawn!
Students love this note style as it helps make difficult topics easy to understand, all on one page. Every single one of these resources I use with my own students every year so rest-assured they are student tested. Reach out with any questions, and happy doodling!
