About the store

Experience

With over a decade of teaching experience, I bring a dynamic blend of high school English, middle school ELA, humanities, and dance into every lesson I create. I have taught in vibrant project-based learning charter schools, tech-savvy progressive public schools, and deeply enriching Title One classrooms, each one shaping the student centered, engaging, and inclusive approach I bring to education.

Teaching style

Whether it is crafting hands-on literary projects, integrating movement and the arts, or using digital tools to deepen student engagement, I believe learning should be active, meaningful, authentic, and beautifully messy. My resources are designed to spark creativity, challenge critical thinking, and invite students to connect with language, stories, and the world around them in fresh, exciting ways. From poetic projects to interdisciplinary deep dives, I’m here to help you turn your classroom into a space where students do not just learn, they create.

Awards & shining teacher moments

I’m not just a teacher; I’m a curriculum artist, classroom choreographer, and learning designer with a flair for weaving movement, meaning, and innovation into everything I create. Holding a Clear Single Subject Credential in English, with Dance as an added authorization, I live at the intersection of language and expression. My passion for teaching is grounded in both art and intention which is reflected in years of continued professional development in game-based strategies, blended learning, online assessment design, and makerspace methodology. I believe learning should be a full-body, full-mind experience. Beyond the classroom, I’ve written and won grants to bring a middle school dance studio to life because students deserve spaces that inspire. I’ve served on district writing committees, mapped out scope and sequences from scratch, and built original curriculum that meets students where they are and lifts them higher. Oh, and when the school day ends? I run my own private online tutoring business tailoring learning one-on-one with heart and creativity. Whether on paper, screen, or the dance floor, I build experiences that move students literally and figuratively.

My own education history

My journey as a teacher began long before I ever stepped into the classroom. It started in the desks of three unforgettable English teachers who ignited a passion in me during middle and high school. Their passion for words, storytelling, and student connection shaped my path, and to this day, I am honored to still call them mentors and friends. In college, I followed that spark by majoring in English Education with an emphasis in literature diving deep into the power of language, voice, and narrative. Alongside it, I pursued my love for movement, studying dance with a focus in performance and choreography. For me, the stage and the page have always been intertwined, both powerful tools for self-expression, discovery, and connection. Now, as an educator, I strive to bring that same magic to my students: the joy of words, the rhythm of learning, and the belief that creativity belongs in every corner of the classroom.
