Teaching Engineering: Gears (No prep hands-on project & lesson)

Gear Train Challenge – Hands-On STEM Engineering Project Looking for an engaging way to bring Gears and real-world problem solving into your classroom? This hands-on STEM engineering project challenges students to design, build, and test their own gear train using simple materials like cardboard — while applying core engineering concepts. In this interactive Engineering Curriculum resource, students trace and construct working gears, then compete to achieve a target gear ratio. The challenge

Linear Graphs-Finding Slope Power Point Presentation and Guided Notes (noprep)

Making math presentations can be time-consuming! This product includes a powerpoint and guided notes for introducing graphing. Common core guided lesson on how to graph lines using the x & y intercepts, how to find the slope graphically, and how to find the slope mathematically. The guided notes keep students engaged but keep class moving because they do not need to copy every piece of information on the screen. Powerpoint presentation + guided notes is the perfect match for the busy teacher

Teaching style

I love making learning FUN! I am a creative person and that shows in my lessons. I think school should be fun and interactive. The bests are lessons are the ones when the students say "wow! that was really fun". I also strive to make my lessons as rigorous as possible. I believe all students are capable of learning math and science.
