About the store
I've spent years teaching, mentoring, and working with learners in higher-education and professional settings. Along the way, I’ve seen where students tend to get stuck and where traditional materials often fall short. That experience shapes how I design my resources: clear explanations, intentional structure, and an emphasis on understanding rather than rote steps. I also bring a practitioner’s perspective from working in real-world business and accounting environments, which helps me connect concepts to practical use. Everything I share here is grounded in actual teaching experience and refined through ongoing classroom use.

About the store

Experience

I've spent years teaching, mentoring, and working with learners in higher-education and professional settings. Along the way, I’ve seen where students tend to get stuck and where traditional materials often fall short. That experience shapes how I design my resources: clear explanations, intentional structure, and an emphasis on understanding rather than rote steps. I also bring a practitioner’s perspective from working in real-world business and accounting environments, which helps me connect concepts to practical use. Everything I share here is grounded in actual teaching experience and refined through ongoing classroom use.

Teaching style

I care a lot about clarity. Most of my materials are built around one simple idea: if students truly understand the concept, everything else gets easier. I design lessons that break things down logically, reduce unnecessary cognitive overload, and help students see how ideas connect instead of memorizing steps. My approach is influenced by formal training in higher-education teaching and learning science, including advanced instructional design work that emphasizes how students actually process information. I try to bring that into every resource I create.

Awards & shining teacher moments

The moments that stand out most to me aren’t awards, but those small turning points when something finally clicks for a student. Seeing confusion turn into confidence, or hearing a student explain a concept clearly for the first time, is what keeps me motivated as an educator.

My own education history

My background spans business, accounting, and analytics, along with doctoral-level study and formal training in college-level teaching. I’ve taught in higher-education and professional settings, which has shaped how I think about learning, assessment, and clear communication.

Additional biographical information

DocV grew out of my teaching and research work in higher education and professional education. I create resources I would actually want to use in my own classes: practical, thoughtfully structured, and respectful of both student attention and teacher time. Everything here is designed with real classrooms and real learners in mind.
