About the store
I have been an elementary classroom teacher for 15 years. I have taught at one school but two different grade levels, 3rd and 2nd. I have also worked as an ABA therapist and a private tutor in both math and literacy. I have served on a variety of committees such as; our literacy team, safety committee, hospitality, and school climate committee. I have represented our school at the State level for the anti-bullying initiative. Most recently I have been on several committees to re-write and align the school curriculum to the CCSS. I am also a mentor and cooperating teacher.

Informative Report Complete Guide to Final Copy
This 34 page packet begins the process of planning, researching, and writing an informative report. The report is designed around the CCSS Writing Standards. It includes gathering information, choosing text features to enhance the information, and a section to gather important vocabulary. All steps can be differentiated to meet all students' needs.

Getting To Know Your Classmates Scavenger Hunt
I use this activity every year! It is a great ice breaker and gets the children moving! I hand out clip boards and give my third graders about 8 minutes to complete the sheet. Then I have students sit in a circle and we go over the activity as a class. The questions are broad enough that most children should be able to answer most of the them.

Writing a Fable!
This product is the perfect writing packet to guide students through the process of writing a fable. Aligned with CCSS, this writing tool allows students the opportunity to plan out the major components of a fable. It includes an art component that has students drawing their main character. It is a fun product for both students and teachers!

This is a fun activity to do during the month of February! There are two book reviews students can choose from for either a fiction or non-fiction text. This activity is aligned with CCSS and gives students the opportunity to write about their favorite book! It can be used as an informative or persuasive writing piece.

Beginning of year goals
I've been using this goal's sheet with my third graders for the past three years. It is a great way to start off the school year and works well with Responsive Classroom. I brainstorm whole class with my students to create anchor charts of appropriate challenges and goals for the year. Reading Logs with Daily Goals
These reading logs I created to allow students to make simple and easy daily reading goals. There are two different logs that track either by minutes or amount of pages. Each log has a modified log for students who need more space to record. The reason I created these reading logs is because many new reading curriculum programs that align with the CCSS have children create daily goals, yet there was no area that allows students to record these goals on the reading logs provided.

These elapsed time word problems are aligned with CCSS and use similar language. Students will enjoy the seasonal theme and better relate to the situations. This activity can be done in pairs, small group , or individually. It can also be used as an assessment tool.

Non Fiction Interest Survey
This survey is a great tool to use at the beginning of a non-fiction unit. It allows students the opportunity to think about what interests they have and create "thick" questions. It is a good resource to use with the TCRWP's units of study. This resource aligns with CCSS.

Spooky Spider Fun Facts!
I use this activity as a math center. I create a bulletin board by using black construction paper as the background. I use white chalk to draw a web and hang up the spiders as they are completed. There are two different directions in order to differentiate instruction for all levels. This activity aligns with the CCSS 2.OA.a1, 2.OA.b2, 3.OA.b5, and 3.OA.c7. Students really enjoy this fun activity and they always want to do another spider!

Wonderful Winter Word problems
There are a variety of problems with a winter theme! The problems focus on the multiplication and addition. Some of the problems require multiple steps to complete. It is easy to read and fun for students! There is ample space for students to show work.

Teaching style
I am energetic, creative, and hands on! I love art and music as well. I bring my love of animals into the classroom as well. Our class rat, Ramona, is promoting reading through out our building. She is always breaking stereo-types and teaching core values to our students and adults!
I am very passionate about teaching both as a teacher and a parent. I appreciate the privilege I get every day to spend time with other parent's children. I treat my students as I want my sons' teachers to treat them.
