Then I have students sit in a circle and we go over the activity as a class. The questions are broad enough that most children should be able to answer most of the them.

I've been using this goal's sheet with my third graders for the past three years. It is a great way to start off the school year and works well with Responsive Classroom. I brainstorm whole class with my students to create anchor charts of appropriate challenges and goals for the year. I have my students post their goals sheets on a special bulletin board after they are completed. The goals sheets stay posted throughout the year. We often revisit the goals and at the end of the year, stude

These reading logs I created to allow students to make simple and easy daily reading goals. There are two different logs that track either by minutes or amount of pages. Each log has a modified log for students who need more space to record. Teaching style

I am energetic, creative, and hands on! I love art and music as well. I bring my love of animals into the classroom as well. Our class rat, Ramona, is promoting reading through out our building. She is always breaking stereo-types and teaching core values to our students and adults! I am very passionate about teaching both as a teacher and a parent. I appreciate the privilege I get every day to spend time with other parent's children. I treat my students as I want my sons' teachers to treat them.
