Experience
I have been a special education teacher for twelve years. My first experience teaching was homeschooling my oldest child, who turned out to have a specific reading disability. It was a journey to understanding his difficuties and also the start of my journey to becoming a teacher!
Teaching style
Kids (and adults) need to be able to read for their best chance at success in school and in life. For reading, math, social skills, etc., my philosophy is, find what works.
Awards & shining teacher moments
My best teacher moments are seeing hope in a child's eyes.
My own education history
I have a master's degree in special education - learning disabilities.
