This pack is meant to be used to understand the different kind of bird beaks birds have. You will set up 5 stations. Each station will include a plate or tray of food to pick up. I use goldfish, raisins, rice, sunflower seeds and gummy worms. Each station will also include tools to mimic different bird beaks. Chopsticks, spoons, tweezers, toothpicks, and clothespins work best. I have included a recording sheet for learners to use as they experience each station. There is one recording sheet wi

I love handwriting without tears BUT as soon as we switch to their morning journal or I give them a composition book, the great handwriting practice doesn't translate over. These pages allow your learners to write the same sentence in multiple ways. They will use the handwriting without tears lines, as well as the traditional handwriting paper and regular notebook paper. I hope you find this a helpful resource for practicing handwriting!
**If there is a sentence that you would LIKE to have on
I created this for math stations. My learners walked around the room with a baggie of the measurement tools listed on the sheet. They can measure items they find and compare the differences in measurement based on what non-standard tool they use.
We also did this lesson in conjunction with solid, liquids and gases so the first page has the objects titled as "solid" and then the 2nd pages has it titled "object".
I created this mini 120's chart so each learner could keep it at their desk. In the past I have taped them to their desks, other years I have just had them put them in their supply boxes. Very convenient for them to pull out when needed.
This comes 4 to a sheet.
I created these resources to go along with our historical figures unit.
The unit we teach involves exploring the historical figures, having parents come in and share their personal histories to model. If you don't have as much parent involvement at your school, you could invite other teachers or friends in to share their personal histories.
They take notes about the historical figures and the parents. After each presentation (with both historical figures and parents) we ask what connection

Kids learn best by moving and often there is a still a need to develop gross motor skills. I have purchased for my classroom a small, foam practice balance beam. You can buy a $15 foam beam that is easy to store on Amazon here: http://a.co/fOzXip2
This is one of the things they may choose for “morning work” stations. To keep them on task and not playing, I wrote these balance beam task cards. There are 36 task cards total as well as a few blanks one to write some of your own.
I hope you find

I have complied a file of resources to send home with learners at the end of the school year. Each year I give them a spiral to take home to use as their summer journal. Most years I print out the following resources and include them with the journal. My plan this year is to give it to them digitally as to save paper and have better accessibility. You can choose to do either! Included in the pack is: •a letter to the parents •June calendar of activities •July calendar of activities •letter pape

Enjoy!
Use this sort as a starting point to introducing these historical figures to your class. Could also use as a post test to see what they remember. I have also included a written version.
You will have a black and white as well as a colored version. Copy on cardstock and laminate to use for many years.
