This printable activity will inspire your students to create their own alphabet, which they can then use to encode secret messages to their classmates! This is a highly motivational activity for students of all abilities, especially those who are reluctant to write. Bundled into one Zip file are three blank comic pages that students can use to "show what they know" in any subject area at any grade level. Experience

I'm a high school level educator with five years experience. I am currently teaching Grade 9 core classes in a co-teaching classroom, and creative technology courses. In the past I have also taught EAL, Graphic Arts, Digital Photography and Desktop Publishing, Film, and Media Exploration.

My own education history

I have an honours Sociology degree, a Master's degree in Cultural Theory, and an Early Years Education degree. Since beginning my career I have also attended many conferences and workshops on a variety of topics including integrating visual arts and technology into my classroom practice, and implementing the Universal Design model.

Additional biographical information

In addition to teaching, I like to draw, compose and perform music, and parent my three kids. I also spend a lot of my time doing graphic design projects, so the printables that I upload to TpT will hopefully appeal to the aesthetic side of your students!
