My name is Mike Dickinson. I have diverse experience as a leader, teacher and instructor. After completing my Masters in Education in 1995 while serving in the U.S. Air Force, I knew teaching was my calling. However, I chose a different path. In 1996, I was offered the chance to attend pilot training and decided to stay in the military, travel the world and serve my country. After an amazing 20-year career, I turned my focus back to teaching and grooming leaders in the classroom. I'm a 2nd grade teacher now and loving it!

Desk Name Tags (100s chart, number line, coins, math symbols)
I use these informative desk name tags every day in my classroom. I print them each year on card stock, have the student write their name, then laminate it for long-term use!
These desk name tags are useful, but not too colorful. We don't want to distract the students. We want them to use the name tags quickly to assist them in math or editing without the aide of the teacher.

My name is Mike Dickinson. I have diverse experience as a leader, teacher and instructor. Teaching style
My life was shaped by my parents and my teachers. They both influenced my approach to life, fueled my desire to learn/grow and enabled me to succeed in school, my relationships and my professional life. I am an educator now because of my parents and the fine educators that inspired me. I absolutely love working with children, imparting knowledge and learning from them, enabling critical thinking and creativity, and witnessing their growth and success. I hope to inspire the next generation and ensure every child I teach is equipped with the knowhow to succeed in school and life.

I have a beautiful, intelligent wife teaching in my school -- 100 yards from my classroom. I have two toddlers, Kate and Max. Life is busy and my family is my life!
