In my second grade class, we always learn about the life cycle of a mealworm. I buy mealworms from the local pet store, and my class provides a habitat for them. We are able to watch the entire life cycle unfold. It is truly amazing! While the mealworms grow, we do some fun experiments with them. I usually do the attached activity in small groups. They love this!

This is a fun way to get your students engaged while learning Life Cycles. Using live mealworms, students will watch their mealworm go through metamorphosis all while documenting the experience.
