Experience
I've been teaching Social Studies for 23 years. I specifically work with English Learners, College Prep, Accelerated Students and Advanced Placement course level students.
Teaching style
I believe in, and encourage, student interaction in each lesson. Students need to have honest discourse and utilize the language of the discipline to truly learn.
Awards & shining teacher moments
I love my job and am so blessed to work with students. I've also been blessed with completing my education with a terminal degree. I have been able to graduate placed on the Dean's list at every college I've ever attended.
My own education history
I have a BA in History with a double focus in US and Ancient History.
My 2 Master of Arts degrees are: Education with a focus in Reading and Curriculum and Instruction in the Social Studies Classroom. I also have a Doctorate in Education Leadership with a focus in Teacher Education in a Multicultural Society.
