Take the High Road

A visual support to assist in self-regulation. As a student/child enters a setting/situation that is known to present as a trigger, review the expectations. When taking the high road the icons represent taking a breath, counting, and using your words. The low road icons represent yelling, breaking something or hurting someone. You can also adapt the low road outcome to reflect a loss of privilege when a positive behavior support plan is in place.
